In about the past half-century, many African people and those who support, identify with and are concerned about Africa, have worried and openly expressed their myriad of concerns about the direction that Africa is heading toward. Their worries and concerns have centered on what is occurring in the continent, the cause of these multitude of problems, why the indicated solutions to the problems have been ineffective and why real and meaningful progress continues to elude Africa. Consequently, I decided to write this book because of my love and concern for the continent of Africa. Considering that majority of the difficulties beleaguering Africa centers on inadequate electric power, dreadful economic situations, crumbling infrastructure and terrible governance, I concluded that combining clean energy technology, economic growth, economic development, governmental and public policy analyses would accentuate the problems and also be prudent and comprehensible.
The pertinent question is, for what reason has the economic growth accomplishment of Africa and especially Sub-Saharan Africa, been unsatisfactory after weighing all the factors for more than the past half-century . Of significance is determining the kind of performance that can be implemented to counter that inclination and to sustain and surpass the speedy growth exposed to in recent times. What are the potential outlook and policies for Africa to decrease poverty and attain sustained , speedy economic growth. The most fundamental economic account that Africa confronts will be explained. The continent can deal with poverty, climate change and environmental devastation at a reasonable price in the present day with enormous advantage for mutual and sustainable prosperity and harmony from this point forward or they can avoid the present day concerns and take a chance on possible expensive calculation at a later date.
When procedures that assist the impoverished population of Africa are enacted, they will turn out to be the most outstanding growth and development policies the continent has ever accomplished. Climate change is one of the essential encounters of this century. Simultaneously, energy use, the basic point of supply of climate-modifying worldwide greenhouse gas emissions is rising at unparalleled speeds and is crucial to the sustaining economic growth of African countries and developing countries in general. This presents a severe predicament that can only be attuned with recent and enhanced clean energy technologies that equilibrate climate change alleviation and increased energy requirements in African countries.
